Lady Eve, dear Mother of our Race
You gaze on your Son’s face
Born of your daughter to redeem your Fall
To save you with all your children
As He has made us His brethren
And re-opened Eden once and for all!
Lady Eve, Mother of Man, rejoice!
Put gladness in your voice
For the fellowship you lost at the Fall
Is given again as kinship
And the rights which from you were stripped
As inheritance are now given to all!
Well may you grieve over our sorrows
Tenderly view our woes
Yet be glad, for your Maker hears your prayer
We, your children, shall not lament
Our mother’s fault, but see it unbent
And the Shekinah upon Eden fair.

Oooooooooooh!!! Raina!! You have a wonderful way with words. Very beautiful, and very much in keeping with the redemptive theme of the whole of Scriptures.
If I find it apropos to something I have written, may I use it?

How did I forget to elaborate? Quotations, with link, is certainly also allowed. If you have something else in mind, let me know what it is 🙂
