The Abysstreader is one of the rarest of the Nightmare monsters, only rarely seen. Due to its rare appearances and to its abilities, even though it appears in a number of legends, myths, and category description of nightmare creatures, many people believe that it is either highly exaggerated or completely fictional. It is almost impossible to kill, destroy, or deter, and everything it touches vanishes, disappears, or turns to nothing, with a few rare exceptions.
