The creature sometimes referred to as a Vampire is a winged Nightmare creature of intermediate rarity in Areaer. They often appear in ‘clouds’. According to legend, anyone bit – or sometimes even scored – by one will become a Nightmare creature (sometimes even a Vampire). As with most things, the reality might be more complicated than the legend.
