Hello, everyone!
In case you haven’t heard, Kindred of the Sea is getting a new cover.
I recently encountered Midnight Rose’s lovely art, and realized Midnight Rose was the person who could do what I’d always wanted for this book, but did not think I could do myself. So here is the cover Kindred of the Sea has always had in my mind:
And the full wrap-around for the print book:
And here is the new back cover copy:
Two common soldiers, caught in a war they did not sign up for.
Corostomir and Aderan joined the Army to protect their people against pirates. Now they are called to attack Elethri, home of the sorcerous elves and new haunt of the nightmare – but when they march into the forest and wake from their dreams unharmed, they can’t escape the suggestion that the story they’ve been told might not be so true.
They would rather not die for a war they don’t believe in. That leaves only one option: find a way to desert that won’t get them killed, just as surely as pushing the elves too far will.
I’ve also updated the interior matter! There’s a new map of Alaer (that’s my ocean planet), and every single chapter header is fully original hand-drawn art.
So if that sounds at all interesting to you, Kindred of the Sea is available in both paperback and ebook formats from most retailers (including places like Amazon, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble) here. And in celebration of the new cover by Midnight Rose, it’s only 99cents on Smashwords for the week of July 7nth to 14th.
(And, if you want to check out more of Midnight’s art, go here!)

My TBR list is way way out of control at the moment, but I am adding this to the list! I’m so intrigued.
