Indie Black Friday Weekend Fantasy and Sci-Fi Sale

Black Friday was yesterday. Yeah, yeah, I know.

Does it matter though? These awesome books are still 99cents or free through the weekend, and I suspect many of them will also be discounted through Monday as well!

James L Dulin and Thiago Abdalla have helped organize an awesome sale featuring 130+ fantasy and sci-fi novels by various indie authors!

I’ve got FOUR of my novels in the sale. Click HERE or scroll down for which novels those are – and then some recommendations.

Black Friday Weekend indie self-published fantasy, sci-fi, and horror sale.

My offerings:

Heart of Fire – a psychological epic fantasy series starter, featuring Camilla, a slave determined to be a Dragonrider, the younger brother she’s determined to protect at all costs, and Kario Flameheart, the young girl from the Plains whom the dragon god Nelexi just wants to be her friend.

DragonBirth – a slice-of-life/cozy X epic fantasy series starter, featuring Silmavalien, a young and devout village huntress who’s world is shattered when she meets a dragon hatchling and discovers everything she’s been told is a lie – and everyone she knows might be an enemy.

Kindred of the Sea – a cozy fantasy telling the story of two platonic lovers in the Valor army, Corostomir and Aderan. Their quest to escape a war they don’t believe in and would rather not die for takes them to a new world with magical dolphins.

Children of the Dryads – a no-romance YA/MG fantasy. Tara-lin is a half-elf with the long-lost magic of the dryads, and when her father Eldor takes on a deadly mission, she will disobey his command and follow him to save his life. With her is Alis, a human girl fleeing her own father – a colleague of Eldor – and who dreams of being a gryphon rider.

Recommendations (in no particular order):

The Wings of Astaroth by Steve Hugh Westenra – A historical fantasy set in a world with strong grimdark vibes. It’s got more gore and horror in it than I really wanted, but the commitment of several characters to what they value and love – along with the willingness of another to learn – made this novels sing to me. I rarely see this kind of “idealism,” whether in darker books or lighter ones.

Winds of Chaos (and Silver Fire) by Laura Brewer – A very interesting combination of Norse gods/Vikings with Christian Fiction and some other elements yet. Epic fantasy but with a lot of focus on the cozy, slice-of-life moments which I appreciated. Game-lit vibes but definitely NOT LitRPG.

Daughters of Tith by J. Patricia Anderson – If you like lore centered around giant trees, non-human races, and an epic fantasy where the characters are discovering the fact they, too, can be persons, with a mixture of victory and pain and loss, you might enjoy this one. I found the characters interesting and vibrant.

The Phoenix and the Sword by J.C. Snow – I’m not sure what it’s like to read this one with The Shoreless River, so I recommend them together. Chinese mythology-inspired historical portal fantasy, featuring heart-touching romance and found family, along with a very good redemption story. I liked a lot of the themes.

Wistful Ascending by JCM Berne – A superhero science fantasy, so heavier on the action than I usually go for, I loved this book for the MC, Rohan, and his struggles to avoid the terrible decisions he’s had to make in the past. Another story with that touch of “idealism” I so love to see and some very real thoughts on what it means to love.

There you go!
